They are a true window to the decade. An early if not the original DIY band! They self recorded and
produced themselves from day one on these tracks, their privately owned collection of master tapes
and unreleased material - live takes and demos not heard since they were recorded.

Their new album TIME TUNNEL is done in very much the same Rock and Roll
dance band style they are known for, now often called GARAGE ROCK, but little
different really from what the Beatles - Kinks - and Who were doing at exactly the
same time then, and now again largely with The Foo Fighters and The Fifth Estate.
This is so much so that SHEL TALMY, who originally produced The Kinks, The Who,
Chad and Jeremy, Pentangle, Jimmy Page and David Bowie, has become the
Executive Producer for The Fifth Estate.

both The 5E's TIME TUNNEL album and WASTING LIGHT for the FOOs.
We can't thank Shel Talmy enough who put a true rock and roll sound on this
album the way rock and roll was meant to sound, and to Joe LaPorta at The Lodge
who brought all that into the full force and brilliance which only todays tech
and mastering techniques can achieve, although mostly analogue oddly enough.
A truly tremendous blend of then and now in an album called TIME TUNNEL!!!
